About Debbie
Debbie Lee has been with Futures Without Violence, formerly, Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) since 1980. She currently oversees Start Strong: Building Healthy Teen Relationships initiative funding 11 comprehensive community-based models to prevent relationship violence and increase positive relationship skills with 11 -14 year olds. As director of the National Health Resource Center on Domestic Violence (HRC) from 1993-2008 she has worked to build and strengthen the health care response to domestic violence and worked with health and advocacy partnerships in 27 states and 25 Tribal communities.
She was a founding board member of the San Francisco-based Asian Women’s Shelter, the Asian and Pacific Island Institute on Domestic Violence, the National Network on Behalf of Immigrant and Refugee Women, 2 CA state coalitions, and The Women’s Foundation.
