A Call to Men Engages Coaches in Ending Violence Against Girls and Women
Movement Maker organization A Call to Men is busily engaging coaches in ending violence against girls and women. On March 14th, A Call to Men and The Verizon Foundation brought together hundreds of middle school, high school, college and community coaches for domestic violence prevention training, A Call to Coaches: Your Voice Counts. The half-day seminar equipped coaches with resources to prevent abusive behavior by promoting respect, non-violence and healthy relationships. Participants left training with a list of action items and resources to continue the conversation with their teams and in their communities. Some of the media coverage of this even: WCNC, WBTV.
