Casa De Esperanza Co-Hosts Webinar in Recognition of Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness Month

In recognition of Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness Month, the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence and Casa de Esperanza are hosting an informative webinar on Thursday, February 16th, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. EDT. The webinar, Helping Youth Develop Healthy Relationships–The Role of Parents and Caregivers–will highlight the critical role of parents and caregivers in preventing and responding to teen dating violence. On this free 90 minute webinar, presenters will discuss how parents and caregivers can actively support teens and young adults in their lives by promoting healthy relationships. This webinar will offer information that is helpful for parents and caregivers in recognizing signs of dating abuse or perpetration. Strategies for initiating conversations about developing healthy dating relationships will be shared, as well as information about available resources and services to assist teens and young adults who are in abusive relationships.
