Men Can Stop Rape Helps Launch New App for Sexual Assault Survivors

Washington, D.C.  is getting set to launch its “Ask DC” app. All the resources to help sexual assault survivors will be in one place. The app will connect immediate medical help, polica and a 24-hour support hotline. Victims can even get a free ride to a hospital from Uber. All 33 life-saving resources will be available in English, Spanish and 26 Asian languages. The app launches tomorrow, August 14th.

“The important piece for us is that everyone has a role, everyone can have an intervention, have the strategies necessary to intervene and to know accurately what that information is and what options are laid out for them,” Neil Irvin, executive director of Men Can Stop Rape told News4.
