Movement Makers at Panel Discussion Hosted by Norway and Half the Sky Movement

On Monday, March 4th, the opening day of the fifty-seventh session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, Move to End Violence Director Jackie Payne and Movement Makers Ted Bunch of A Call to Men and Archi Pyati of Sanctuary for Families joined Norway’s Ministor of Gender Equality H.E. Ms. Inga Marte Thorkildsen and Audrey Moore, Chief of the Domestic Violence Unit and Special Victims Bureau, New York County’s District Attorney’s Office on a panel discussion hosted by Norway and the Half the Sky Movement in New York City. The panel discussion which set out to explore next steps in the movement to end domestic violence was moderated by renowned journalist and documentarian Perri Peltz. Jackie shared the work that Move to End Violence is doing to end violence against women and girls in the United States; Ted spoke about the importance of engaging men in this effort; and Archi talked about how her organization provides services in a way that engages survivors in their own advocacy.
