Tool for Building Beloved Community: Love Notes

Love Notes, introduced to us by Move to End Violence core partner, Movement Strategy Center is a useful (and fun!) tool for building Beloved Community.

Movement Strategy Center's "Love Notes" process is an adaptation and evolution of processes they learned from other partners. Specifically, introducing people to each other based on who they are as people was inspired by the work of Forward Together. The process of beginning a convening by pairing individuals for a conversation, then connecting into small groups, before doing a full group welcome circle, comes from Eugene Eric Kim of Faster Than 20. Movement Strategy Center synthesized these two practices into a process that emphasizes and deepens human connections and helps set culture for the gathering.
